STIR Teacher Changemaker Competition

Working together with STIR Education, PaperSeed provided micro-grants to teacher changemakers to scale their innovative solutions in India. After a rigorous application process, successful teacher changemakers participated in a yearlong program with mentoring and financial support.
STIR has created a model that empowers teachers to fundamentally re-imagine their role in leading change in their classrooms, schools and the wider education system. STIR’s vision is:
- To build a movement of teacher changemakers who develop innovative micro-solutions (‘micro-innovations’), implement effective practices, and influence peers and policy makers – all to improve children’s learning.
- To catalyze a surrounding ecosystem of partners – from NGOs, government and the private sector – to support and sustain this movement of teacher changemakers.
