Around the world, 62 million girls are out of school. . .
Why?
The Global Girls Education Internship invites local high school students to learn more about nonprofit and aid work, and gives an in-depth look at the current state of international aid, specifically as it pertains to girls and education. Students will leave with a greater understanding of the issues facing girls in the developing world, and how these issues are affected by culture, religion, environmental issues, accessibility, and current humanitarian efforts. Students will learn how these issues can be addressed through various mediums such as social media, conscious buying, activism, and strategic development funding. They will also learn about the PaperSeed Foundation’s innovative approach to international aid, poised at the cross section of grass-roots NGOs and for-profit business partners.
