Good News from the UN!

The United Nation’s “Millennium Goals” included one for Universal Education by the year 2015. Though it’s extremely unlikely that goal will be met, the UN has made significant strides, like abolishing school fees throughout Africa, increasing school infrastructure, and providing food for impoverished students. According to the UN, 89% of the global population now has access to safe drinking water, meeting the millenium target to cut in half the number of people without access to clean water well ahead of the 2015 goal.
