GABRIELA ROSENFELD- Bio

Gabriela Rosenfeld’s upbringing in a multicultural household sparked her realization of the power that cross-cultural relationships have to drive innovation – and also made her intensely aware of the deep divide between those in our world who have adequate access to education, resources, and infrastructure, and those who do not. This realization drives her to seek opportunities to help those less fortunate and to design lasting solutions that will raise global levels of education, and ultimately, standard of living.

Gabriela was involved in work concerning the injustices in the education system at her high school. Throughout her senior year, she worked on a capstone project studying the inequities that have been highlighted and exacerbated by the pandemic for her English Learner peers and she sought means and methods to ensure that all students have access to a high quality education.

At the university level, Gabriela plans to continue this work, and is eager to join classes and form clubs that will bolster her ability to deeply understand, research, and conceive solutions to urgent social and economic problems. She hopes to study abroad to expand her worldview and deepen her understanding of marginalized populations around the world to design effective solutions to the issues they face.

As an intern, Gabriela’s collaboration with the PaperSeed team has provided her with the opportunity to hone her communication skills. She is focusing on outreach to younger populations, bringing a teenage perspective to the forefront of the foundation’s social media and campaign efforts.

Gabriela is a student at the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business.
